The Global Freedom Report Goes on Hiatus

As we travel this journey called life, each of us encounters numerous opportunities to make an endless series of choices, each of which represents a crossroad on that journey. I have been sitting at one such crossroad for a short while now, and I want to share with you my choice of how to proceed, and my reasons for making this choice.

When I originally approached Dave vonKleist about doing a show, it was because of the popularity we both enjoyed combined with the fact that we had both been off the air for a while.  Dave and I always had great harmony in our creative styles: Dave has worked on several of my political song parodies (and continues to do so) and I thought we could make some serious positive impact on behalf of freedom fighters everywhere.

The American Freedom Report quickly became a broadcast phenomenon; no show quite like it had ever been aired (which was the whole idea).

Unfortunately, Dave was unable to maintain good connectivity and so he had to step back from his role as co-host. By the time Dave left the show, I knew we had something really special; it could have been the very best freedom talk show on radio.

It was at this time that I decided to revise the show image and turn it into The Global Freedom Report.  My vision for the show remained positive and I genuinely believed that even though Dave was gone, I could find a new co-host and the show would be better than ever.

Those who have listened to my international hit show The Voice of Freedom over the 16+ years it has been on the air know that I am a man of principle; that I believe in standing true to certain values, including truth, justice, honesty and integrity.  My entire career as a broadcaster and freedom consultant has been based on one simple fact: I am a man of my word.  I do not lie or cheat or misrepresent in order to sell a product or service, acquire a radio show or otherwise obtain personal or professional recognition.  I am what I appear to be.  I tell the truth.

I believe telling the truth is the best way to live and I seek to surround myself with people who share those values. Sometimes I make a mistake. Sometimes I become involved with people who speak all the right words but who, when it comes down to it, think nothing of lying or misrepresenting themselves at my expense. When that happens, the best thing I can do is clean house, do my best to heal the wounds, and move on with my life.

Unfortunately, there have been some destructive things done to me by people whom I trusted, and these actions have tainted this show. I have been asked if I can forgive those who have trespassed against me. My answer is that I can forgive, but I cannot forget.

In a real sense, it is like being raped, and I know from whence I speak! I was raped - physically raped - when I was a teenager. My wrists and ankles were tied with duct tape and I was gagged; I had no choice; I could not fight off my attacker. I know how that feels, and what has been done to me and my show, while not a physical rape, is still very much emotional and spiritual rape. By intentionally keeping the truth from me, I was induced to make choices I otherwise would never have made. I forgave my rapist but I will never forget what it felt like being raped. Likewise, I can forgive my trespassers but I will never forget the feeling of violation these trusted associates perpetrated on me.

I have decided to take The Global Freedom Report off the air for a time.  I am going to reformat the show, revise the supporting cast, and purge the dishonesty from my organization.  Once that is done, I will look at bringing back the show; hopefully, the good people here at The Microeffect Broadcast Radio Network will welcome the show back when I am ready.

Let me say at this point that I consider Joe McNeil and The Microeffect Broadcast Radio Network to be exemplary in their attitudes.  Like me, Joe is very forthright and he tells the truth and expects the same of others.  I encourage all of you who support me to support this network.

Additionally, my long-running hit show The Voice of Freedom will continue to broadcast Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00-7:00 pm eastern time at www.freedomradio.us. This is my primary web site and you can listen not only to the shows, which are archived there, but to several dozen mini-show podcasts; these podcasts are great, folks!  I suggest you download and share them with others.

Freedom is a celestial and priceless gift.  The first step to preserving it is to value it as such. Until and unless you are willing to give up anything and everything for your freedom, you will remain in a state of abject servitude to government.  That’s why I ask what you’re willing to do to protect and preserve your freedom.

I wish for each of you a life in which you live free or if not, then a life in which you fight for freedom.  A free man or woman has a duty to remain free; an unfree man or woman has a duty to fight to become free. You may ask, a duty to whom?  A duty to your Creator, who did not place you here on planet earth to simply sit and obey a bunch of greedy, soulless control freaks.

I believe we are here to grow in spirit, and we accomplish that by standing true to our principles, even when times are desperate.  It is easy enough for a person to do good when times are good; but the real gauge of a person is what he or she does when times are tough.  Are difficult times used to justify lying, cheating, stealing or worse?  After all, times were tough; I had to steal!

"These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands it now deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.”

These are the times when we are truly being tested; when we have an opportunity to show our true colors, and to stand tall and firm with those who share our values.  The Great Conflagration is coming!  I hope you will stand with me, on the side of Truth, Justice and Liberty.
